Are We ‘Idiots’ ?

Relax, I’m not talking about the common meaning of idiot being “a stupid person“. Surprisingly enough, idiot stemming from its original family of words has another meaning.

Idiot comes from the greek words:

  • Idiotes – meaning ‘private person‘
  • Idios – meaning ‘own, private‘

    • So, if you do not hold any public office, you are most likely an idiot! :)

      Idiots are mentally challenged individuals with a private world. That most probably why it pertains to a private person. Anyway nice wordplay.

      Wow, what a wonderful interpretation!
      I was questioning “where are you people?”
      You have helped me to grasp what do I long.
      I was the Idiot and longed for the idiots. I still do the same. But that’s no wonder – once we are concidered to be the idiots, that’s for the whole life, isn’t it?

      Not really, in life you can always change perception just by making full use of any opportunity you get..(even a split second can change your life) ;)
      It’s just a matter of time and own-will + trust in yourself!
