Electric Uno Bike – The Bike Of The Future Generation?

Written by

Uno Bike

This bike is known as the Uno Bike and has been invented and created by the 18 year old canadian, Ben Gulak. It is said that this electrical bike has been conceived from lessons learned from Segway device, but implemented in cooler package.

Brief Infos About The Bike

=> Has two wheels, side-by-side, and uses gyroscopic technology to stay upright
=> The wheels are independently operated making turning much more precise
=> Moves in the direction the rider leans (the more you lean, the faster you go)
=> To move backward, just lean back on the seat to tilt it backwards
=> Hits a top speed of 25 mph in its current configuration
=> Has a weight of 58kg
=> Has a range of 2.5 hours once it is charged from the mains
=> No controls except for an On-Off switch (so simple as that!)

“[..] it is designed for the commute to work through busy towns” says Gulak. “ I believe this could be electrical alternative to the car. I’m just looking for an investor to help me get it into production [..]”

Ben Gulak also claims that his innovative bike would help beat pollution and the design was inspired from a visit to China in 2006 – “The smog was so thick, we never saw the sun,” he said.

My Point Of View

Well, this is amazingly wonderful and this guy is a very talented engineer. He will surely prove his worth and his new bike in the incoming years. The idea and philosophy behind is great. It takes guts, trust and faith in our creative and talented, out-of-the-box, mind to come forward to show our thoughts. And those who can make it, will succeed undeniably!

Uno Bike Resembles Jeremy’s Bike In Code Lyoko?

Some of you might say that this bike should definetly have a connection with Jeremy Belpois’ virtual bike, from the famous Code Lyoko. :P :)
I end here with a trailer of Code Lyoko with Jeremy’s Uno Bike (you will see it precisely at 2mins,09secs in the video)

What an odd-looking bike, but must be cool to try out. LOL. I wonder if you need to have frequent visits to your DOctor to treat some back pains.

    i’ve seen it before
about 2 years ago in some Asian animation movie .
some character was riding it all the time and doing crazy stunts too

it would be good in high traffic , but as bloggista said
i’d visit the hospital alot :)

Wow, very interesting and as written by bloggista, it looks very odd. No? I haven’t seen such bikes in any movie as well.
The main good part I think is that is is electrical. If we can turn all the bikes today which can be operated my electricity, it is sure to help to decrease the pollution as you have said.

But, I am mainly concerned about how to balance correctly and control the direction especially when driving in very fast speed. I hope it will be ok with the development.
    Anyway, all the best Ben!

Great invention. Should ease off traffic problems of this century. Environmentally friendly too.

Credit to the inventor in getting to save this planet.

And thanks to you Wakish for letting us know of its existence although not yet commercialised if I read you well.

The bike has just one seat, and that frightens, because our cars reflect our spirituality. Just one seat points towards… what?
The total loneliness (the concern just with self)is worse than the pollution of our environment. By the way, the Pollution too comes in the result of our worry just for ourselves.
Am I to rejoice over the bike with one seat?

Is this for real? Do you have any video of the bike in action, I’d love to see it.

I’m a biker, not a tough one, but a biker all the same that wouldn’t be seen dead on a scooter, but one of those uno bikes.. maybe when the speeds get up over 100km/h I might think about it…
